 | Temple of Hephaestus with Rouge Turtle | | by Miltonian | | published on Aug 22, 2008 | This is the Temple of Hephaestus, dedicated to the eponymous god of metalworking. It's initial construction was completed in 415 BC. It has remained standing largely due to it's use as a Greek Orthodox church between the 7th and 19th centuries AD. The rouge turtle was just roaming about, and has now become an international star due to my photographing of it! |
