An Impressive Mid-1800s Home in Mt. Holly Springs

This home was probably built by the upper crust and when it was built it was alone. It is reasonable to believe there were no other homes within a couple hundred yards at the time and in fact there may have been less than a dozen homes in the town at the time. It was heated by fireplaces – note the impressive brick chimneys. I can’t remember if the Y on the front was there when I was young, I believe it was. I would love to take some inside pictures. This home sits next to one of the largest single homes in the town.
