 | An Impressive Mid-1800s Home in Mt. Holly Springs | | by Ralph Brandt | | published on Apr 30, 2009 | This home was probably built by the upper crust and when it was built it was alone. It is reasonable to believe there were no other homes within a couple hundred yards at the time and in fact there may have been less than a dozen homes in the town at the time. It was heated by fireplaces – note the impressive brick chimneys. I can’t remember if the Y on the front was there when I was young, I believe it was. I would love to take some inside pictures. This home sits next to one of the largest single homes in the town. |
