Myself Hand Feeding a Peacock in India

On one of my many trips to India, I had the good fortune to sit inside a peacock enclosure and, to my surprise, he came up to me and began to eat from my right hand. It's a memory I will always treasure.

I have often thought about getting a pair for pets, but so far have just stayed with pheasants, its so hard to get them tame, lucky you!

These are beautiful birds, it always makes me sad when I see kids at the zoos trying to pull their tail feathers out. Thats mean.
