 | Buoy Encounter Version 2.0 | | by Bill M. Tracer | | published on Apr 10, 2011 | As part of my project to demonstrate my abilities to design & create art suitable for book or magazine covers, I took an older image setup I had created in a horizontal or what is known as the landscape format, and created a vertical or portrait formatted version. The portrait format is the arrangement most often desired for cover art, so this orientation is best for this demonstration project. This image, depicting a Gunship battle cruiser jumping into normal space from “hyperspace” in the background, finding a space buoy in the extreme foreground orbiting a small planet, combines effects I created within the 3D programs DAZ Studio, and Bryce, together with post work in Photoshop, with which I enhanced the star field, and added the digital signature. |
