Odd Dusk

by Bill M. Tracer
published on Jan 28, 2009

This image is another one of my new 2009 science fiction flying saucer images. Here we see a conflagration of three different saucer craft coming together just as the sun sets over forsaken lands. I created the initial image with Bryce. I then added a few post render effects with Photoshop.

This is beautiful and believe it or not but, I would love to see it without the spaceships. I bet it would be even more spectacular! Good work my friend!

Thank you Victor. I created this image using a 3D computer graphic program called, Bryce. I modeled the saucers, and set them up in Bryce's simulated 3D environment. With Bryce, one creates a kind of virtual setting, defined in all 3 dimensions within the computer's memory. You set up the lighting, and design the terrains, and define the sky attributes, and set up a virtual camera with which you take a virtual snap shot, called rendering in 3D terminology. Bryce is a great tool, or as I like to think of it, my digital pallet. The real art is in using the tools of ones chosen medium to create images that engage the viewer. It is my greatest dream to achieve that goal. The PC computer along with software like Bryce and Photoshop are my chosen medium.

It is the goal of most every artist to be a source of inspiration. I am gratified.
