Blood Gliders of Planet Napang, {of the Retrieved From Oblivion Series}

They've sat languishing on my computer hard drive, unappreciated and forsaken, some for quite a while. I recently looked through the old files, retrieved them from oblivion, and spruced them up for presentation. Here I created yet another alien world, populated with exotic creatures. In this case they're a mixture of living creatures with bio-tech glider attachments. I originally saw them as cybernetic gliding critters that swoop down and grab their prey with their squirmy hanging tentacles. After playing around with three or four versions, I still wasn't satisfied, and let this image idea fall to the way side. For this retrieval project, I revisited it by opening up the last version of the Bryce file and moved some of the gliding Napangians around a bit. From a compositional standpoint, I think their positions are much better in this version. I then re-rendered, adjusted the contrast, color and auto levels, with Photoshop and came up with this ultimate version.
