Tasting Thermals

As with many of my 3D graphic art pieces I morphed up and posed the 3D dragon figure in DAZ/Studio, then exported him in the .obj format, for import into Bryce. In Bryce I placed him high in the sky, and positioned the camera above him, looking down on him. I customized the material of a cloud to create the thermals. I tinkered with the dragon’s position for quite a while to get the composition just right. After rendering up about seven different versions, I finally got it just right, and was quite pleased.

You KNOW how much I LOVE dragons, so this one is of special interest to me. The dragons I picture are a bit less spiny and fearsome and more like those Anne McCaffery created with Michael Whelan but to each his own and I love them all! I really love the way you show it just gliding about ground...very effective and realistic!
