Vision Quest Cover Version 2.0

This image is a refined version of an earlier work of mine. I considered the original always a bit flawed, so I decided to revisit this one and try to perfect it, or at least improve upon it. I created this scene within the 3D program DAZ Studio, with a lot of post work in Photoshop, which including the swirling effect, and multiple layers blended with various filter effects. The frame and digital signature were, of course, the final bits of post work. This image was accepted by the editor of the comic book Katmandu as the cover for issue 37 of that comic, but due to health problems the publisher has discontinued that particular comic, so it never saw print.
