The Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laugharne

by Charles Moorhen
published on May 5, 2009

The Dylan Thomas Boathouse, in the Welsh village of Laugharne, is where the poet, famous for writing "Under Milkwood", lived with his wife Caitlin for a number of years. In 1953 he left the boathouse for a tour of poetry readings in America. He died that same year in New York. Dylan Thomas is buried in Laugharne churchyard in the same grave as his wife.
