Some may think this is gross, but for nurses like me it is quite interesting. This is from when I had hammertoe surgery. They removed bones from my eight small toes and placed six pins all the way through the toe into the foot. No more pain (except when I stub my toes!).

That is kind of, well, beautiful. Surgery, to improve. Kirshner wires, right?
I had bunion surgeries and the first metatarsel(sp??) had to be cut and re-pinned so I had those in my feet. Okay, -you have proven that this kind of content CAN be posted. I have wanted to post "before" and "after" images of my feet. Ugly, painful bunions before, angelic almost delicate-looking feet after...
