Everyone knows there is gold at the end of the rainbow but can you name all the colors in that beautiful promise in the sky? Roy G. Biv is not a real person but an acronym to help us remember Newton's spectrum of rainbow colors starting at the top. Red, orange, yellow; then green; then blue, indigo and violet. The phenomenon of a double rainbow is that the colors are inverted.

That is beautiful.We used to say Vibgyor so as to remember the colors in the correct order. Vibgyor also sounds similar with one of our popular actor turned politician MGR.

I didn' t know in the double rainbow the colours are inverted. A good memory aid and a colourful picture.
