A coot? It loooks like a small duck. I guess the're only found in that area of the world? Beautiful photo Lucy...I wouldn't drink the water.

Is the saying " As blind as a coot?". I wonder if it relates to the bird. Western Springs? I never spend enough time there to appreciate the bird life. Thanks for sharing.
