Two Chicks

This is me and one of our Red Sussex Hens. We keep them as free range birds for eggs. Four birds give us far more eggs than we need so we sell the extras cheap. The birds do an excellent job of controlling bugs, they spend the day eating grasshoppers and flies. Anyone looking for a unique pet should consider hens.

My son was given a chicken once that was house trained. It was a beautiful bird and a lot of fun to have around.
