A Pair of Slippers for My Feet

My dog is naughty. When he's like that, I laugh. Whenever he sees me preparing to sleep already on my side of the bed, he would also take his place beside me on the floor and lie on my slippers. He wouldn't give those to me when his entire weight is already hiding the slippers. What's in his mind? Maybe this huge creature thinks that there should be something to wake him up when I start to head out of the room, and that should be my slippers!
