It's a Dogs Life!

I had to share this, if only for the "Ahhh!" factor. It's not an artistic photo by any means. It shows my grandson Christian and our little dog Sophie. They aren't posing, they really are asleep. They are soul mates, Christian is English x Malay Chinese and Sophie is Cairn Terrier x Pekingese. It was taken on my wifes Sony Ericsson cell phone camera.

Lovely - such an important relationship. One of my (now grown-up) daughters was always animal mad and we used to find her asleep with her pony in the stable. She just loved him and he loved her - she did her homework with him, read to him - he was her soul mate. Now he is a very old pony with lots of medical issues but she works an extra day a week to afford to keep him and keep him well. They were in love and are in love and even her partner takes second place. Very enduring relationships sometimes have to be with a 'dumb' animal.
