Atypical Mangrove Growth

Mangroves usually grow in areas with muddy substrates. These clumps of mangrove grow on a sandbar because they were intentionally planted there. I have been seeing these clumps for several years without discernible improvement in growth. And I would attribute it to a poor nutrient source.
