More commonly called a powderpuff plant it is a perennial native to most tropical and subtropical areas. Normally considered a shrub this five-year-old specimin is being allowed to become tree-like and will soon grow taller than my house. It flowers year 'round here in central Florida.

Is this the same as a 'bottlebrush' plant maybe??? Looks very similar, and they are great in the garden!
