Was it growing in the wild? I've looked through some wildflower books, but can't find it. It's similar to cornflower and knapweed, but I don't think that's what it is. Nice pic.

I can't find it either? Maybe an escapee, but very similar to the purple/blue wild species.

It looks like a form of echinops to me.Lovely close up shot, you captured the flowers essence beautifully.
