 | The Picnic | | by PR Mace | | published on Feb 24, 2009 | The summer of 1972. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents on their farm in Springville, Alabama. My grandmother was part of a women's club. This was their yearly summer pinic. Since I spent so many of my summers with them, I always went to the picnic. My grandmother is sitting behind me but all these little old ladies were like grandmothers to me. I think I was a lucky girl. |
