They last a very long time, and are very durable. Ernie Ball strings are one of the best strings for Electric. Adamas is the best for Acoustic. This is based on using different brands of strings to find the best tone, strength, and the amount of time they can last. Guitar store workers will trick you into buying something you don't want if you are just looking. Be sure to get what you want to buy, and at what price you are willing to spend. I went into a huge music store in Fort Worth Texas looking to spend alot of money. I accomplished my goal by purchasing a B.T. Washburn, Crate amp, Fab Tone pedal, Jim Dunlop Cry Baby, and a few extra cords and strings. All I wanted was a guitar, amp, pedal, and a few picks.
