 | Steam Traction Engine – Peerless 50 HP on Dynamometer | | by Ralph Brandt | | published on Sep 28, 2008 | One of the things that is done at the engine meet is test the engines. An air dynamometer is connected via the belt in the foreground and a tachometer measures the RPM's of the blade. The RPM's are translated to Horsepower using a chart. The load is provided by air resistance. Other pictures of displays at the Williams Grove Steam Engine Meet – 2008 are in this collection. |
