Mooring Log

Although not that heavy for mooring, a log can serve well in keeping a fisherman's boat from straying away on a typical day. The colorful combination of algae and fungus on this log fascinated me that prompted me to take a picture.

I think old bits of wood can be lovely to look at. I visited a wood-turners workshop yesterday, and he had some beautiful pieces of work, but I must admit, I was more drawn to the pieces of wood he had piled up to work on!
