Naw, -I had thought about keeping some of the pieces but these are merely melted copper, aluminum and plastic char with fused soil in the slag. -Garbage really despite the weird factor of it.

When lightning strike a wet sandy beach or desert, there is the potential to melt the sand below the surface, forming 'petrified lightning' that looks like a deer's antler. THAT would be kewl of dig one of these up...

Did you know that lightning regularly strikes the ocean's surface too, and can travel downward to a depth of about 1-mile through the water?
