I think you make more when people click on the advertising as well as your article. Not sure, but that seems to be what happened when I had a couple of friends experiment with it.

That's pretty strange. Still, I'd love to have a spike like that on my graph.

I agree with you, it is really confusing.. but more than that for me confusing and frustrating is the counts of views shown in content list and the one that gets updated next day.. doesn't match....

you know what,i'm just a month user of this site, you give me an insight. tnx. by means of your presentation. it's really confusing.

Triond splits the revenue with you that is earned from ad placement. Not all adds are the same on each article, poem, pic, etc.. that you have published. For ex, if you write a hot button article on a popular new cell phone, it will have better ads and thus earn much more than say an article about your pet cat. You understand?

The $ do not seem to to be totalled until the following day. Numbers do not seem to stack up from one day to the next because I believe the actual numbers shown are for a 36 hour period not 24. I think this is psycholigical to encourage us. The only way to accurately check the number of readers is to go to the "content" page and click on "This month" and select "Today".

Too complicated for me. I'm still trying to figure out the meaning of life, but that was another article. Ms Nelson, you write quality stuff while I never expect to make $ with my drivel.

The spike is fantastic. Tracking the numbers does get confusing; but if you consider that the graph is always a day behind, and that views to do not necessarily add up to earnings, it kinda begins to make sense. What I find intriguing (and sometimes frustrating) is that something I labor over long hours may only get 5 0r 6 views, while some silly something that I dash off as a place holder catches lots of attention!

I have to agree with you that the amount of income is confusing.

i just got here May 15, 2009 and had notice same kind of graphical trend with corresponding earning stat. anyway its great you brought this up.

Some very interesting observations but oh my giddy aunt, you get 9000 views?! I could only reach 9000 views if I was Triond's admin team and decided to glitch my views up. But interesting because I've noticed that some of Triond's sites (like Quazen, Socyberty etc.) pay differently. Sometimes even hundereds of views aren't enough to get you a lot of money whereas some others only need some to get you a lot.
