 | Aconcagua | | by clay hurtubise | | published on Nov 22, 2008 | At 22,841 feet above sea level, this is one tough environment! If all but one of our stoves hadn't died we would have attempted the summit. As it was, we pitched our tents at approximately 20,000 - essentially sleeping at the height of Mt McKinley. Mountains don't go away and one of the toughest parts of climbing is knowing when to turn around. |
