 | Red Hibiscus | | by ken bultman | | published on Aug 8, 2009 | My yard, like many in the subtropics, contains several varieties of hibiscus plants. They are not only handsome to observe but healthy, as well. A 2008 study by the USDA revealed that consuming tea boiled from the blossoms of the hibiscus lowered test participants' systolic blood pressure by 13.2 percent compared to the placebo group. The blossom pictured is a single meaning it is not a double. I don't know its marital status. |
