Golf Course Owls

These Florida Burrowing Owls were nesting in one of the sand bunkers at the local golf course in Pompano Beach, Florida. There were a total of four birds. These two and their two younglings. As you can see from the sticks, the nest was marked off. If your ball fell there, it was like falling into a lake - without the penalty. With all the human activity, I was very surprised to see them there.
