Lead Rider: Gettysburg Bike Race – April 2009

Here the first rider, I believe his name is Harlan follows the course sweeper. This is just over three hours after the race started at about 25 miles from the start. Look how the front wheel of the bike throws up a rooster tail of water from the road indicating how much water is on the road and how fast the bike is being pedaled. I was the Ham Operator providing communications from this point. This race is one of three each year sponsored by the Gettysburg Bicycle Club.
