Tibetan Thangka Painting

by Sonia Doreen
published on Aug 3, 2009

The Picture displayed is yet one of my finest purchases from the Himalayas, displaying a Buddist holding and spinning the Spiritual Wheel of Life which holds much Traditional and Religious value for Buddishts in Tibet. Creating an original Thangka Tibetan Painting can be very challenging Task. Since it is exquisite in beauty and making, the end results can be evident in a weeks time or in some exceptional cases, can take over a year to complete. They can come in a varity of shapes and sizes and some are even framed in Silk.
