Late 1800s Brick Home York Springs Pa

by Ralph Brandt
published on Oct 31, 2009

This home has some interesting features. The porch on the front that wraps around the side is unusual in towns. This porch is probably only six feet deep on the front but if you look at the side it probably widens to eight. The home has been well cared for. Rather than fill in the porch front they have used the lattice that is more in tune with the time the home was built. The railings may not be exactly what was there but they fit the time. Storm windows are in place but they have been well done and the trees have been allowed to grow giving this more of a rural setting.
