Emerald Lake

In the Canadian Rockies lies a real jewel of a lake. The colors are natural, I have not done any altering to this picture. A person can rent canoes here and they are much better priced than at the more popular Lake Louise.

WOW! that is a great shot. Perfect with the rich colors of the water, the green of the trees, the mountain and sky background. Could have not been captured any better, great job!

Is this where you live? Wanna trade?

Nope Ken. This is about 170 miles from our house and it is in Banff and Jasper National Parks in the middle of them. It's a lodge that you can stay at. The lake by our house is beautiful in its own right. However, the lakes just by us do not have that lovely blue green color because the geology is different here. We are at Battle and Pigon Lakes in Alberta and this shot is at Emerald Lake Alberta. So we were there at 9am and home by 10 pm with some other stops along the way. A nice day trip for us in the summer. I wouldn't mind having a summer place in the mountians. Right now I would imagine they got a lot more snow than we did this morning.
