This is really not funny because its a very typicall sign combination in Germany.
The owl shows there is nature ahaed which is protected. Like birds are breeding there and stuff like that. Thats why your dog has to be leashed.

The sign is funny. The people who live where the sign is posted understand the meaning and abide by it. It may be in German and meant differently but, when we look at it from our side of the fence...it IS funny.

Dennis is right. Completely normal, logical sign combination. But suits me, if foreigners find it funny.
