SAG Vehicle at Greencastle

Our motto is "when you sag, we SAG." This is a Special Assistance Group vehicle. Here Dick and Sandy tour the course at Greencastle looking for people who need assistance. They can pick up 1-2 riders and their bikes if necessary and transport them. Most of us carry a tire pump and a couple tools as well as water and other things the riders may need. This varies with the ride and the temperature. I SAG for at least a half dozen rides a year as does this couple. This car is a FIT. They usually use a minivan which has more room. In some rides both of them SAG in separate vehicles. If you look carefully to the back left of the car you will see the key to effective SAG operation, the ham radio antenna. This keeps the ride leaders and the support teams in continual contact better than any other communication. FRS and GMRS do not have the range. Cell phones do not allow broadcast.
