Thekkadi Boating - Wild Animals

This is a shot taken in 2007 November, when we went to Thekkadi for boating. This is in Tamilnadu, India. Few days before, a boat sank in Thekkadi killing lots of people. When heard about that, felt really painful. Also scared, what I would have done with my son, who was five months old at the time I went for boating.

It was when the people rushed to one side fo the boat to watch, the tragedy occurred. seeing this beautiful picture I can very well guess why the people rushed to have a look at these animals. Fantastic shot

Chitra, thats true, ppl rush to one side to have a look. It happened even when I went. It was full of school and college students that day. I think GOD only took care of us on that day. Else, me too in the drown list.

I do want to visit this place. One of my childhood memories is reading a children's novel in Tamil called 'Thekkadi Raja'.
