Wide Load, Aussie Style 1

This wide load encountered on the Burke Development Road about 350 km south of the Gulf of Carpentaria on the way to the town of Cloncurry, deep in the heart of Queensland. A police escort went ahead of this load to make sure the road was clear, as the transporter was traveling at speeds over 80 km and was stopping for no one. We were told the load was 8.9 meters wide and it appeared to be mining equipment.
