The Olgas - Central Australia

I have found The Olgas (Kata Tjuta) to be more awesome than Ayers Rock (Uluru), and when one walks through the Valley of the Winds it is likely that you would feel the reverence generated by this wonderful place.

The Olgas: Central Australia

The Olgas (Kata Tjuta) lie abouit 30 kilometres west of Ayers Rock (Uluru) in Central Australia. The name means "many heads" which is appropriate for the 36 rounded domes that make up the whole. The tallest dome, Mt Olga, is 200 metres higher than Uluru.

One of many Giant Redwood trees in these spectacular gardens. These Sequoiadendron Giganteum, Giant Redwood trees originate in California and grow to a height of 40 metres with a span of 18 metres. Beautiful trees, beautiful gardens.

Uluru, Red Giant at Dawn

The dawn at Uluru (Ayers Rock) is a special sight. Located near the center of Australia, this huge monolith is a sacred site of the Australian Aborigines and all visitors to Australia would do well to ensure a visit to this magical place.
