Eating for Four

This expectant mom is busy grocery hunting. Now that winter is over she must lay in more food for the six to eight weeks she will stay underground nursing her young.

How Do They Do It?

As many times as I have watched a chipmunk stuff their pouch with food, it still amazes me.

Dinner Time

This is the earliest I have seen Chipmunks out of their dens. Now that they are active, the whole process of preparing for winter begins again.

This was taken from the kitchen window between snow squalls. The sun came out and tried to melt the snow that had already fallen but squalls moved in to fast.
