 | Katahdin Lamb Ram and Speckle | Speckle, on the right, is what you might think of as a regular sheep, she is a mature wool breed ewe, the younger ram, on the left, is a hair sheep, a breed known as a Katahdin. Hopefully we will have some lambs in the spring. Sheep have a five month gestation period, and we got him in October. You do the math. |

|  | I Did Not Give My Sheep a Mohawk | The first sheep is a ewe lamb who is shedding her woolly winter coat, she is a part Katahdin hair sheep - they shed. Her mother and sister (both not in this photo) shed totally, but this gal looks like she has a mohawk. The other sheep is actually an older ewe, of a different breed, a Barbado. |

|  | Cleaning Time | This is my bottle baby sheep. I was trying to get a picture of my sheep and kitties playing together (but was unsuccessful) but this gal was hanging around me wanting her head scratched and so on. Finally she lay down and started cleaning herself, something you rarely observe in sheep. She is black and white but faded with the sun. |

|  | Diamonds and Chicks | Diamond is the sheep on the left, her lamb is behind her (named Diamonds Girl). We have a few free range hens that like to be out with the sheep in the day. You can see all our animals love us and come running when they see the camera. |
|  | Half Ways Grown Up | My little bottle baby, born in January, and abandoned by her mom only minutes before we found her, she had some of the placenta still on her, and it was below freezing.
