 | Old York County Courthouse Front View | This building is impressive. It is the historic York County courthouse which is far more impressive than the new multi-million dollar boondoggle that was to replace it but the old courthouse is still there and in use. I would provide some pictures but alas, taking anything that even resembles a camera into them is forbidden. |
|  | Robin on a Swing | Every once in a while I take the camera and just look at things – and when I do I usually find something I haven't seen before. I must admit I have never looked at a Robin this close but look at his eye. I grew up in an area where these beautiful birds inhabited until the starlings we imported from Japan killed many of them. |
|  | Sign in Shrubs | This caught my eye. My grandmother's name was SHAEFFER and this is in the area she was born. I am not sure if we are related in any way but this is neat. I believe this family owns a landscaping business and if they do, this yard certainly says, "They know how to do it." |

Carlisle has some awesomely attractive buildings and some really well kept historical structures, including the old jail. This building at Dickenson College has to be the hands down winner as the ugliest in town. The designer had to be color blind or the painter mixed the paint wrong. |

The corner stone shows 1959, not as old as I would have expected. The adjoining cemetery predates this by close to 100 years. It is interesting to note that the. |

|  | Warrington Township Building Rossville Pa | This building is about a half mile east of Rossville on PA 177. Rossville is the corner of PA 177 and PA 74. Here is an example of what can be done to preserve a piece of history. This one room school has become a very functional township building. They could have torn it down and lost a piece of history. It is functional and they have changed it where necessary but the building is still there. I applaud any group that is able to preserve in this way. It hasn't cost the taxpayers in fact the reuse may have saved tax money. |
